Snickerdoodles is my favorite cookie recipe, with molasses they are very delicious.

3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 - egg
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour

How To Make molasses snickerdoodles

Step 1

Cream shortening, sugar, molasses and egg.

Step 2

Sift dry ingredients together, then add the sugar mixture until combined.
Step 3

Form into balls, and roll in sugar.
Step 4

Place on baking sheet and bale 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes.
