These "snowball" cookies melt in your mouth and are a long time favorite at Christmas time with our family. They are quick and easy to bake as the ingredients are usually on hand! Give them a try, I know you'll love them!

Makes 50 cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups butter, softened (3 sticks)
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups nestle toll house semi-sweet chocolate mini morsels
- 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts, optional
- 1 sprinkle of powdered sugar
How To Make mini chip snowball cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350* F.

Step 2Beat butter, sugar, vanilla extract and salt in large mixer bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour; stir in mini chips and nuts.

Step 3Shape level tablespoons into 1 1/4 inch balls. Place on uncreased baking sheets.

Step 4Bake 10-12 minutes until cookies are set and lightly browned. Sift powdered sugar over hot cookies on baking sheet. Cook for 10 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Sprinkle additional powdered sugar, if desired. Store in airtight containers.
