mini chip snowball cookies

These "snowball" cookies melt in your mouth and are a long time favorite at Christmas time with our family. They are quick and easy to bake as the ingredients are usually on hand! Give them a try, I know you'll love them!

Ingredients For mini chip snowball cookies

  • 1 1/2 c
    butter, softened (3 sticks)
  • 3/4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 2 c
    nestle toll house semi-sweet chocolate mini morsels
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped nuts, optional
  • 1
    sprinkle of powdered sugar

How To Make mini chip snowball cookies

    Preheat oven to 350* F.
  • 2
    Beat butter, sugar, vanilla extract and salt in large mixer bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour; stir in mini chips and nuts.

    Shape level tablespoons into 1 1/4 inch balls. Place on uncreased baking sheets.

    Bake 10-12 minutes until cookies are set and lightly browned. Sift powdered sugar over hot cookies on baking sheet. Cook for 10 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Sprinkle additional powdered sugar, if desired. Store in airtight containers.
