  • 1 c
    margarine, softened
  • 1 c
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 large
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
  • 2 1/2 c
    oats, quick cooking, blended
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 12 oz
    chocolate chips
  • 8 oz
    chocolate bar, grated
  • 1 1/2 c
    finely chopped pecans

How to Make Million Dollar Cookies


  1. Cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix toghther with flour, oatmeal [blended oatmeal is measured and then blended in a blender to a fine powder], salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Add the chocolate chips, grated chocolate, and chopped pecans. Roll dough into balls about 1 inch in diameter and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes at 375 degrees. makes about 5 dozen.
