These are rich and buttery. They are traditional Mexican shortbread cookies that are very popular with everyone,in my neck of the woods, at anytime...not just at weddings!

Ingredients

1 c
magerine
1/2 c
powdered sugar,sifted
2 c
flour,sifted
1 tsp
vanilla
1/3 c
walnut or pecans, finely chopped
powdered sugar

How to Make Mexican Wedding Cookies

Step-by-Step

  • 1cream together margerine and 1/2 c sifted powdered sugar
  • 2Add flour, vanilla and nuts and mix well.
  • 3Shape dought into walnut shaped balls.
  • 4Place on oiled cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until they begin to brown.
  • 5Cool for 5 minutes and roll in powdered sugar
