I have always liked melting moment cookies so here is a chocolate version

  • 1 c
    sifted cake flour
  • 1/2 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp


  • 1/2 c
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Meltaway Chocolate Cookies


  1. Beating until smooth after each addition,add dry ingredients in fourths. Make sure to begin and end with the dry ingredients.
    Drop dough by teaspoons about 2 inches apart onto cookie sheets, lined with parchment paper.Flatten each cookie to about an 1/8 inch thickness with tines of a fork,dipped frequently in water.Form a crisscross pattern.
    Bake at 300 degrees 12 to 15 minutes.
    Sift confectioners sugar over warm cookies.
    Makes about 4 dozen cookies
