melt in your mouth sugar cookies

This cookie is very light. I don't frost these with icing. They are kinda fragile and taste great with just sugar sprinkled on top or you could do cinnamon and sugar. I recommend you double the recipe!

Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 - egg
How To Make melt in your mouth sugar cookies

Step 1Sift together (I don't sift, I mix, but..) the first 4 ingredients.

Step 2Cream the sugar and shortening. Add egg and vanilla to the creamed mixture.

Step 3Beat and slowly add the dry ingredients until well combined.

Step 4Roll dough into balls (1/2 the size of a golfball) and place on cookie sheet. Flatten the balls with a bottom of a glass dipped in grandulated sugar.

Step 5Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
