This is a favorite recipe that the Bockler kids had at the DuBois kids house.

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 - egg
9 ounces can crushed pineapple with juice
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

How To Make mary jane's pineapple cookies

Step 1

Mix thoroughly the butter, sugar and egg. Stir in pineapple with juice.

Step 2

Stir in together the flour, soda, salt and nutmeg then add to the wet ingredients.
Step 3

Chill at least 1 hour. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2" apart on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 350º until when touched lightly with finger no imprint remains, about 8-10 minutes.
