My nephew loved these cookies when his Aunt Betty made them for him when he was a little boy.

Ingredients

5 c
unsifted flour
3
eggs
1 c
molasses
1 c
sugar
1 Tbsp
ginger (large)
1 Tbsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
nutmet
1 Tbsp
baking soda

How to Make Margaret's Ginger Cookies

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cream eggs and sugar together. When well creamed, add the molasses, sugar, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • 2Dissolve the baking soda in 1 cup of lukewarm water and add to creamed mixture.
  • 3Slowly add the unsifted flour until a soft paste is formed.
  • 4Put small scoops on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes @ 375* F.
