mamo's peanut butter cookies
My grandmother always had these cookies in her cookie jar. She cooked in the school lunch room in our community and these were soooo good. When I was a young girl there wasn't as many restriction about what you cooked, they used the items that the goverment gave them.

Ingredients
- 1 cup shortenting
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter (i use creamy)
- 2 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons water
- 2 teaspoons soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all purpose flour
How To Make mamo's peanut butter cookies

Step 1Mix all ingredients together, starting with the top down ending with flour. Mix well.

Step 2Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray cookie sheet.

Step 3Use a teaspoon of dough and make into a ball. Flatten out with palm of hand and lay on cookie sheet. Take a fork and make the imprint on the top of each cookie.

Step 4Bake about 7-10 minutes for each sheet, ovens all vary in temp. Remove to rack to cool, soooooo good.
