How to Make Mamaw's Old Time Teacakes
- Cream together the egg, sugar, and butter.
- Add flour, baking soda, ice water and vanilla and mix well.
- Divide into 2 portions, roll out and cut with a cookie cutter.
- Bake at 350 until very lightly browned. For crispy cookies, roll thinly. For softer cookies, make them a little thicker. Store in a well-sealed container. Warning: these will go quickly, so you better make 2 batches!
