Ingredients

  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 2 1/2 c
    crushed vanilla wafers or crushed graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    flaked coconut
  • 1 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    butterscotch chips or peanut butter chips
  • 1 can(s)
    (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts

How to Make Magic Cookie Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Stir together vanilla wafers or graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and vanilla.
  2. Press onto bottom of greased and floured 13X9 inch baking pan.
  3. Sprinkle coconut, chocolate chips and butterscotch chips over top.
  4. Pour sweetened condensed milk over top, sprinkle with nuts.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-27 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
  6. Cool. Cut into bars.
  7. Store, covered, in refrigerator.
  8. Substitute chocolate chips or nuts with M and M's, dried cranberries, raisins, or mini marshmallows.
