How to Make Macaroons
- Preheat oven to 325. Line cookie sheets with parchment or foil.
- In a large bowl, beat egg whites and vanilla until firm but not dry. In a second bowl, beat almond paste, sugar and coconut until it is the texture of small crumbs. Gently combine the mixtures.
- Drop tablespoonfuls of dough one inch apart. Bake for 18 minutes or until lightly browned on bottom and firm to the touch.
- When cool, melt the chocolate chips and drizzle some chocolate on yhe cookies.
