I’ve been a lunch lady for 14 years, and I have the best job in the world !! These cookies are always requested by our school superintendent and are his FAVORITE of all the cookies I bake !! .. He is retiring soon and I have been asked to make them for his retirement dinner !! I’m honored !!

Ingredients

3/4 cup butter, unsalted
1/2 cup shortening
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
3 cups all purpose flour
1 cup chocolate chips, mini
1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
1 1/2 cups white sugar

How To Make lunch lady chocolate cookies

Step 1

Cream butter, vanilla, shortening, and brown and white sugars.

Step 2

Add eggs, one at a time, until well incorporated.
Step 3

Add dry ingredients and mix well.
Step 4

Stir in chocolate chips by hand. Dough will be stiff.
Step 5

Drop dough by rounded tablespoons (or use cookie scoop) onto parchment lined baking sheets.
Step 6

Bake for 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
