Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup splenda (not baking mix; baking mix contains sugar)
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk (or 1/4 cup milk + 1 tsp lemon juice)
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet mini chocloate chips

How To Make low sugar oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375.
  • Step 2
    Combine butter, oil and Splenda. Add egg and mix well.
  • Step 3
    In separate bowl, combine flour, oatmeal, cinnamon, nutmeg and baking soda. Add to egg mix, alternating with buttermilk.
  • Step 4
    Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet; flatten slightly with a fork. Bake about 10-12 minutes. Move to cooling rack.
