I have made a ton of chocolate chip cookies over the years. I have tried a little more of this and a little less of that and finally I found the perfect combination! It only took me over 41 years! LOL

How To Make lori's chocolate chip cookies

  • 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Mix in the vanilla. Add eggs one at a time making sure they are well blended. Mix in salt until well blended. Add baking soda until well blended. Finally gradually add flour 1/4 cup at a time making sure the flour is completely blended in before adding more. Fold in the walnuts and the mini chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon fulls on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes (depending on the size of the cookie) or until edges are golden brown. Let cool on cookie sheet for about 10 minutes and then remove cookies and place on a cooling rack to completely cool - if they make it that long! *NOTE* the dough will be stiff and a little crumbly. You may need to slightly form the dough on the teaspoon.

*NOTE* For a variation try white chocolate chips and/or different nuts. I found that the best tasting chips are the Ghirardelli brand. Enjoy!!
