lofthouse soft sugar cookies
One of my favorite cookies is the big, soft lofthouse cookies. These cookies you see packaged up with bright colored frosting in the grocery store bakeries. So good with a cold glass of milk.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- FROSTING INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
How To Make lofthouse soft sugar cookies

Step 1Preheat your oven to 350°

Step 2With your mixer cream together 1/2 cup softened butter with 1 cup sugar and mix for couple of minutes until smooth.

Step 3Add in sour cream,eggs and vanilla and mix well.

Step 4in a large bowl sift together flour,baking powder,baking soda,and salt.

Step 5Slowly add the dry ingredients, into the wet and mix well.

Step 6Bake for 12-13 minutes, then immediately remove from oven. The cookies appear to be under baked a bit but this is what you want. Transfer cookies to cooling rack.

Step 7To make frosting, beat butter with a mixer about 30 seconds, then add in powdered sugar, one cup at a time,add in vanilla and 1 tablespoon of milk. Use a knife to slather each cookie with frosting. Top with sprinkles.The color of frosting is your choice
