This recipe was handed down from my cousin's aunt, Linda M. Hatfield, who has now passed away. Linda's husband, Conard, is a minister and these were a hit.

Ingredients

1 stick margarine
1/2 cup milk
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup peanut butter
2 cups oatmeal
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup cocoa

How To Make linda's preacher cookies

Step 1

Mix together margarine, milk, sugar, and peanut butter and bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes.

Step 2

Take from stove and add oatmeal, cocoa and vanilla. Stir until mixture gets thick.
Step 3

The drop by spoon onto waxed paper and let COOL, COOL, COOL.
