This recipe was handed down from my cousin's aunt, Linda M. Hatfield, who has now passed away. Linda's husband, Conard, is a minister and these were a hit.

margarine
1/2 c
milk

3/4 c
peanut butter
2 c
oatmeal
1 tsp
vanilla
1/2 c
cocoa

How to Make Linda's Preacher Cookies

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix together margarine, milk, sugar, and peanut butter and bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes.
  • 2Take from stove and add oatmeal, cocoa and vanilla. Stir until mixture gets thick.
  • 3The drop by spoon onto waxed paper and let COOL, COOL, COOL.
