I have no clue where I got this recipe, but it turns out great every time I make it! I had only a toaster oven for one Ostara, so the recipe has been tested for the "smaller" kitchens, too.

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
How To Make lemon sugar cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Beat butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer set at medium speed until fluffy, about 1 minute.

Step 3Gradually add sugar and beat until well mixed, about 1 minute.

Step 4In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder. Add to sugar mixture.

Step 5Beat until smooth, about 2 minutes.

Step 6Drop teaspoonfuls of dough one inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
