This one came from Ma's recipe file box we found in NC in July 2019, on the same page as Maraschino Cherry Bars (in JAP). She must have liked both really well.

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
1/4 cup powdered sugar
TOPPING
2 eggs
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon powder

How To Make lemon squares, ma

Step 1

Cream butter, add flour and powdered sugar. mIx well and spread in an 8" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees 20 min or until brown. Combine topping ingredients and pour over baked crust. Bake at 350 degrees another 25 min. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
