all purpose flour
1 1/4 c
old fashioned rolled oats
3/4 tsp
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/2 c
1/2 c
brown sugar
3/4 c
butter, melted
1 tsp
vanilla extract
14 oz
sweetened condensed milk
1/3 c
lemon juice
2 large
egg yolks
1/2 tsp
lemon extract

How to Make Lemon Crumb Bars


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish
  • 2In a medium bowl, mix together flour, oats, salt and baking soda. Add sugars and mix until there are no lumps of sugar.
  • 3Add vanilla to melted butter. Stir butter into dry ingredients. Press about half of the mixture into the baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes.
  • 4While the crust is baking, Whisk together sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, egg yolks, and lemon extract until well blended.
  • 5Pour mixture over the crust. Sprinkle evenly with other half of the crumb mixture. Return to oven. Bake for 25 minutes.
  • 6Remove from oven and allow to cool at room temperature. Once cool, cover and refriderate for at least 30 minutes. Remove and cut into squares.
