Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons lemon extract
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups minus 1 tablespoon cake flour
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup additional powdered sugar for dusting

Step 1cream butter, powdered sugar, milk, lemon and vanilla

Step 2combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt add to creamed mixture combine thoroughly.. dough will be firm but slightly sticky

Step 3chill dough for 1 hour or until easily worked with. dough can also be frozen for later use. for a more traditional lemon cooler look shape dough into logs and chill then cut in half length wise then slice 1/4 inch slices. I prefer to roll out the dough and use a cookie cutter.. bake at 350 for 9-12 minutes until sides are set dust with additional powdered sugar
