Lemon Bars



My sister in law gave me this recipe about 35 years ago. She bragged on it and bragged on it till finally I tried it (I'm not a fan of lemony things) and low and behold it was as good as she had bragged!

2 c
1/2 c
powdered sugar
2 c
granulated sugar
4 Tbsp
1 tsp
baking powder
6 Tbsp
lemon juice
grated rind from one lemon

How to Make Lemon Bars


  • 1Blend margarine, 2 cups flour and powdered sugar. Pat into 9X13 pan and bake 15 minutes or until light brown
  • 2Sift sugar, flour and baking powder, add eggs, lemon juice and rind. Blend well. Spread over baked crust.
  • 3Bake 25 minutes in 350F oven and cool. Cut into squares. Dust with powdered sugar.
