lazy buckeye brownies
I call these bars "lazy" because you use a boxed brownie mix. But if you have your own recipe and aren't feeling lazy (like me), then use your own! Versions of this recipe are all over Pinterest. I made them the other day, and my peanut butter lovers here couldn't get enough! They are scrumptious.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
All the flavors of buckeye candy in an easy brownie dessert. For the bottom layer, use your favorite boxed brownie mix for a chewy chocolate brownie base. The middle is a thick and creamy peanut butter layer. On top is a nice layer of melted chocolate and peanut butter. They are the ultimate brownie for every peanut butter and chocolate lover.

How To Make lazy buckeye brownies
-
Step 1Prepare the brownies according to the package directions. Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9 pan and bake according to directions. Let cool completely.
-
Step 2Combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and 1/2 cup of butter.
-
Step 3Spread on top of the brownie mix and chill in the fridge for 1 hour.
-
Step 4Melt the chocolate chips and the 6 Tbsp of butter in the microwave or on the stovetop.
-
Step 5Spread over the peanut butter mixture and completely cool before cutting into bars. I actually pop my brownies back into the fridge for an hour to get them to set up nicely. Enjoy!
