I call these bars "lazy" because you use a boxed brownie mix. But if you have your own recipe and aren't feeling lazy (like me), then use your own! Versions of this recipe are all over Pinterest. I made them the other day, and my peanut butter lovers here couldn't get enough! They are scrumptious.

  • 1
Prepare the brownies according to the package directions. Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9 pan and bake according to directions. Let cool completely.
  • 2
Combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and 1/2 cup of butter.
  • 3
Spread on top of the brownie mix and chill in the fridge for 1 hour.
  • 4
Melt the chocolate chips and the 6 Tbsp of butter in the microwave or on the stovetop.

Spread over the peanut butter mixture and completely cool before cutting into bars. I actually pop my brownies back into the fridge for an hour to get them to set up nicely. Enjoy!
