How To Make lancaster oatmeal cookies
-
Step 1Combine flour, brown sugar, oats, baking powder, and cinnamon in a bowl. Cut in the butter until mixture is evenly distributed.
-
Step 2Chop the raisins and nuts in a food processor or blender.
-
Step 3Blend the sour cream and egg together. Mix the molasses and baking soda together. Stir into sour cream mixture. Add to the flour mixture and stir into a stiff batter.
-
Step 4Chill batter in freezer for 15 minutes. Shape dough into walnut-sized balls. Having slightly wet hands makes this easier.
-
Step 5Place cookies 2 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Flatten cookies with a back of a spoon.
-
Step 6Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees until they are a rich golden brown.
