This was passed on to me by my mother-in-law who always had great recipes to share. My daughter, her husband, my spouse would all help to make this. It is a long process, but well worth the effort. That is providing you can resist eating as you work : )

Ingredients
- 1 pound flour
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 2 ounces rum or whiskey
- 9/12 - if lrg egg yolks/if sm egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
How To Make kruschiki (bowties)

Step 1beat egg yolk lightly;add remaining ingredients and mix

Step 2remove dough to floured board, knead adding just enough flour from sticking

Step 3roll out VERY THIN as you would for noodles,

Step 4In utensil you will be frying in add lard or Crisco or a combination. Personally, I prefer using the lard.

Step 5cut in thin strips about 2" wide 6" long. slit center strip, pull corner thru- deep fry til light brown 375 degrees

Step 6drain on paper, after cool sprinkle with xxxx sugar
