Ingredients

  • 3/4 c
    shortening
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar

How to Make KRIS KRINGLE bALLS

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream shortening and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients and mix well. Chill dough; roll into marble-size balls. Mix pecans and 1/2 cup granulated sugar together, and roll cookies in the mixture. Bakes on a greased cookie sheet in a 400 degrees oven for 10 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
