Every one has their own X-mas cookie recipe. I have many, but this is the first holiday recipe I learned how to make. It was fun & easy to make, even my borthers help me make them. As long as I make about 3 dozens cause they eat every other one they decorate LOL....

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    sugar cookie mix
  • 1 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1/3 c
    butter, softened
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 jar(s)
    rich & creamy white frosting
  • 1 bottle
    decorating icing
  • 1 bottle
    decorating sprinkles & sugars

How to Make Kit's Easy Holiday Cookies...

Step-by-Step

  1. First pre-heat the oven to 375F. In a medium bowl, stir the cookie mix, flour, butter & egg until a soft dough forms. Then on a floured surface. Roll the dough about 1/4 inch thick. Then cut with a 2 1/2to 3 inch cookie cutters. Place them on a ungreased cookie sheet. Make sure to place about 1 inch apart from each other.
  2. Next bake for about 7 to 9 min or until the edges are a light golden brown. Remove from oven & let cool 1 min on cookie sheet. Then place on a cooling rack. Let cool completely for about 15 mins.
  3. Then spread the frosting on each cooled cookie. Decorte as you wish withthe icing. Sprinkle the sugar & store cookies in a tightly covered container.
