I just wanted to post a cookie recipe every day until Christmas. I love marshmallows so I thought "marshmaloows & Christmas how can you go wrong?" You cant. Its to good.This is my 2nd Christmas Cookie Recipe. It just looks so good. I got this one from Betty 25 days of Christmas. I love to bake so I just wanted to share this good recipe. I mean it's Betty Crooker you knwo its good. I will be the frist to admit yes I do get alot of my recipes from other online site. They make good stuff & I know my family will love it. So I want to share what I find with as much people as I can.

  • 1 pkg
    double chocolate chunk cookie mix
  • 1/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1
  • 2/3 c
    almonds, chopped
  • 12 large
    marshmallows, cut in half

  • 1 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 c
    whipping cream
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    powdered sugar

How to Make KitKat's Chocolate Mellow Pillows


  1. First pre-heat the oven to 350F. Then in a large bowl combine the first 5 ingredients until soft dough forms. Drop dough by rounded Tbsp. 2 inched apart onto ungreased cookie sheet
  2. Next bake for about 7 mins. Then remove from oven. Then immediately press the mellow halfs lightlycut side down onthe top ofeach cookie. Then return to the oven & bake for 1 to 2 mins more or until mellows has soften.
  3. Then cool for about 2 mins & remove from cookie sheet to a cooling rack. Let completely cool about 15 mins.
  4. Next in a 1 quart non-stick saucepan melt the chocolate chips over low heat. Make sure to stir until smooth. Then remove from the heat Then add in the whipping cream, butter & vanilla. Blend well until mixed. Then stirin the powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Then spread the forsting all over each cooled cookie. Covering the marshmallow. Let the cookies stand until the frosting has set.
