- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups instant oatmeal
- 1 package chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup flaked coconut
How To Make kitchen sink cookies

Step 1In a large bowl, cream together the sugars, butter, shortening, eggs and vanilla until fluffy and smooth.

Step 2Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture; mixing well. Fold in oatmeal, chocolate chips, pecans and coconut.

Step 3Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets, about 1 1/2 to 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
