    butter or margarine
  • 1 c
  • 1
  • 1 tsp
  • 8 oz
    chopped dates
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts
  • 2 1/2 c
    rice crispy cereal
  • ·
    sweetened grated coconut

How to Make Kentucky Colonels


  1. Melt butter in large saucepan. Add vanilla, sugar, egg, and dates and simmer over medium heat until thick. Remove from heat. Mix in nuts and Rice Krispies.
  2. Allow to cool until mixture can be handled
  3. 3.Grease hands and form into small balls
  4. Roll balls into coconut
