katydids chocolate chip cookies

My best friend that I grew up with gave me this recipe. Oddly enough I have a VERY OLD church cookbook that has got some real interesting recipes for cookies similar to this and they are called ROCKS. My Grandfather Ray from England used to make these when I was a kid...Not organic, but easily enough made so... Whatever they are called I LOVE EM ! And these are the best "milk dippers around !"

Ingredients
- 1+ cup organic fine whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup irish butter or organic
- 6 tablespoons organic sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla
- 1 large egg
- 6 ounces semi sweet chocolate bits(can use 9 for more chocolate)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts(again, i use more cause" we likes da nuts.")
How To Make katydids chocolate chip cookies

Step 1Stir together flour baking soda & salt in medium bowl. In LARGE bowl cream butter sugars & vanilla and then beat in the egg till blended. Gradually add in flour mixture till thoroughly blended. Stir in chocolate bits & walnuts. Drop by rounded TEASPOONS WELL APART on an ungreased cookie sheet. Cook @ 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. All to cool for 20 minutes then serve. Enjoy !
