Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, light (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How To Make just oatmeal cookies

  • Step 1
    Using a large bowl and the electric mixer, cream the butter and the sugars together on high until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Add the eggs and vanilla, mix until smooth.
  • Step 3
    In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Step 4
    On medium speed, gradually add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients.
  • Step 5
    Stir in the old-fashioned oats.
  • Step 6
    Line the cookie sheets with parchment paper. Using a small cookie scoop, place cookie dough on lined cookie sheets.

    Bake cookies in a preheated 350 degree oven for 10 to 13 minutes. Bake until the edges turn brown.
