Ingredients

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter, creamy or crunchy
  • 3 c
    oats, quick cooking
  • OPTIONAL

  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon, ground

How to Make John's Favorite No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine sugar, cocoa (and cinnamon if desired) in a saucepan. Stir in milk until well blended. Add stick of butter.
  2. Cook over medium high heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Continue cooking at a full boil for exactly two minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Quickly add peanut butter and mix, then add oats and mix just until incorporated.
  5. Working quickly, drop onto waxed paper with a cookie scoop or tablespoon. Allow to cool. Enjoy!
