These are chewy and delicious. I have no idea where I got this recipe- it's one of those yellow - ragtag pieces of paper- I must have copied from some magazine in a Doctor's office or a neighbor. You know how old those magazines are in the Dr.'s office.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    butter or margarine
  • 18 oz
    devil's food or yellow cake mix, dry
  • 3 c
    mini marshmallows
  • 6 oz
    pkg. mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 c
    plain cheerios cereal
  • 14 oz
    can sweetened condensed milk

How to Make Jim Crow-O's Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 350^. cover a jelly-roll pan with foil and put the butter on it and place in the oven rotate pan to cover foil with the melted butter evenly. Sprinkle dry cake mix over butter to cover pan evenly.
    Sprinkle marshmallows, chocolate chips and cereal evenly too.
    Pour condensed milk evenly over all.
    Bake about 25 minutes in oven or until golden brown.
    Cool pan on wire rack.
    When cool lift foil from pan and cut into 3x1- inch bars.
    Great treat for Halloween!
