Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable shortening
  • 3 - eggs
  • 11/2 teaspoons lemon extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 11/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • FROSTING
  • 3 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/8 cup water

How To Make italian lemon cookies

  • Step 1
    Mix together the eggs and shortening, then add the rest. For each cookie into a teaspoon sized ball placed 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Allow cookies to cool completely before frosting and adding sprinkles.
