I make these cooikes during the hoildays and I even dip half in melted chocolate, I give to all the kids teachers as gifts...I love these cookies because it makes big batches and are very easy...I recieve request's every year..

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

5 c
all purpose flour
1 1/2 c
confectioners' sugar
2 Tbsp
baking powder
1 c
butter (soften)
3
eggs
1 Tbsp
aniset extract

GLAZE FOR COOKIES

1 c
confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp
water, cold
candy sprinkles
1 tsp
vanilla extract

How to Make Italian Anise Cookies

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven 450 degrees.Grease cookis sheet lightly..
  • 2In large bowl stir flour,confection sugar and baking soda together.. Then cut in butter until well blended..Stir in eggs, aniset extract..Mix until it becomes firm..then knead for 5 mins on floured surface..Roll into walnut size balls and place 1 inch apart on cookie sheet..Bake for 8 to 10 mins.. Kool on wire rack placed on parchment paper..
  • 3Drizzle Glaze over cookies and sprinkle...let dry 10 mins and put on cookie plate..
