This recipe took me a while to get perfect. Once it was they quickly vanished. These cookies stay chewy for a few days.

white sugar
1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c
peanut butter
1/2 c
1 large
1 1/4 c
self rising flour
1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp

How to Make Irresistible chewy peanut butter cookies


  • 1Mix sugars, butters and egg until smooth (this is all by hand)
  • 2Stir in dry ingredients
  • 3Cover and refrigerate 1hr
  • 4Preheat oven to 375
  • 5Roll dough into balls (depending on the size of the balls you can get anywhere from 24-36 cookies)
  • 6Place dough balls on ungreased cookie sheet flatten into criss cross pattern with fork that is dipped in water between each cookie to prevent sticking
  • 7Drizzle with honey and sprinkle cinnamon on top
  • 8Bake 10 minutes. Cool for 3 minutes then place on platter. They will not be browned but they will be done and stay chewy for days!
