this is one of those recipes that you make because you do not have all the right ingredients. but it turns out great. I wanted to make just plan old no bakes and didn't have plain oatmeal so.....this is what I did and all my genie pigs LOVED it. and you can use different flavored oatmeal to jazz it up. even use different flavors extract. you'll be amazed at what turns out.

Ingredients

1 1/2 c
sugar (1/2 c brown sugar if useing maple and brown sugar oatmeal)
1/2 c
milk
1/2 c
butter or margarine
1 tsp
vanilla
3 c
any flavor instant oatmeal

How to Make INSTANT oatmeal no-bakes

Step-by-Step

  • 1in sauce pan melt butter, milk and sugar till boiling. boil at roiling boil for 1 1/2 min. remove from heat
  • 2in large bowl add oatmeal.
  • 3pour sugar mixture into oatmeal and stir with wooden spoon to mix thoroughly.
  • 4quickly spoon tablespoon size spoonful's on to wax paper or parchment covered sheet pans
  • 5set aside and let cool completely. store in air tight container. if theres any left after they've cooled LOL
