My mama died when I was 18 but the memories of that beautiful lady have not dimmed a bit even tho I am now 55. Mama was a good cook but an exceptional baker. As a matter of fact mama was responsible for the majority of desserts at family meals. That was a job I took on with her recipes after her death. Mama would make just little quick easy things that were tasty and I make them for my grandkids, they think I am all that. We have dessert 4 times a week to keep down the candy cravings, these are quick but they fill the bill. Never thought to take a picture but will next time and post it.

Notes: You can use a variety of flavorings such as vanilla, almond flavoring, maple etc. Also you can use food coloring to make them more festive. For 4th of July, make some red, some blue leave some white. Or use sprinkles or dragees on them. You can also use chocolate or cinnamon graham crackers.
