Ingredients

2 cups brown sugar, light
1 cup shortening
2 - eggs beaten
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2/3 cup chopped pecans

How To Make ice box cookies

Step 1

Cream Sugar,Shortening and Vanilla and Eggs.

Step 2

In seperate bowl mix all dry ingredients. Add to Creamed mixture with Chopped Nuts. Shape into a log about 2 inches round wrap and chill in refrigerator overnight. Slice 1/2 inch cookies with sharp knife place on greased cookie sheet 1 inch apart
Step 3

Bake 350o for 12-15 Minutes. Makes 4 Dozen
