honey oatmeal cookies
This soft and chewy cookie has been a favorite of my children and now my grandchildren. Bake up a batch and try them, you won't be sorry.

Makes 2 1/2 dozen
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 - eggs
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups oats
- 1 cup raisins
How To Make honey oatmeal cookies

Step 1Heat oven to 375°.

Step 2Mix sugar, shortening, eggs and honey.

Step 3Stir in remaining ingredients.

Step 4Using a medium size (2 teaspoons) cookie scoop, drop dough about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Step 5Bake until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to wire racks to cool. Store in a tightly covered cookie jar or canister to keep moist.
