I must first start off by saying that this recipe is a recipe that I have had to wait 28 years for. I finally got it from my brother-in-law. My husbands family would not release it to me(are you getting the hint). I have been asking for it that long. He was so upset that he went right to the computer and copied it for me. Love you Daryl!! Anyway, this is a very old recipe and my sister-in-law Holly changed the name of it and so we will leave it at that. It is by far the "BEST" sugar cookie I have ever had. It gets a "BIG BLUE RIBBON and 5 STARS"!!
1Cream the sugar and butter. Add eggs. Add cream of tartar, baking soda, salt and extracts. Add vegetable oil. Add flour-one cup at a time. After fully mixed, refrigerate at least 3 hours.
2Remove dough from refrigerator, and scoop dough by heaping teaspoons and hand roll into a ball. Place the balls on a cookie sheet. Lightly moisten the bottom of a glass and dip in sugar. Flatten the cookie dough ball on the cookie sheet.
3Preheat oven to 350F. Bake 12-15 minutes until edges begin to turn golden brown.
