A sure sign of the Christmas season approaching, was Mom in the kitchen baking Fruity Squares. My daughters and granddaughters made sure they have this beloved and delicious recipe to keep the tradition going!

Ingredients

  • 1 stick
    butter, melted
  • 2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    mincemeat
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder

How to Make Holiday Fruity Squares

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter
  2. Add brown sugar,eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  3. Stir in mincemeat and dry ingredients (add these gradually)
  4. Spread in greased 9X13 baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
  5. Let cool, cut into squares and dredge in powdered sugar. Store in air tight container.
