This is been a recipe and a tradition that has been in my family for years since i was a kid. Alot of fun and good cookies.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    butter(softened)
  • 1/2 c
    shortening
  • 5 1/2 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • THE FROSTING

  • 4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 2-4 Tbsp
    milk
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make HOLIDAY CUT OUT COOKIES

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine sugar, sour cream, eggs, butter, and shortening. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
  2. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla, and salt. Mix well until soft dough forms cover and chill 1-2 hours.
  3. Heat oven to 350
    roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick press out cookies and place on ungreased cookie sheet bake 6-8 minutes or until just lightly golden brown. Cool on rack when completely cool frostin the cookies.

    Very fun and very good enjoy.
