Ingredients

2-2/3 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 unbeaten egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

How To Make holiday butter cookies

Step 1

Sift together flour and salt. Cream butter and gradually add sugar, creaming well.

Step 2

Blend in unbeaten egg yolk and vanilla, beat well.
Step 3

Add dry ingredients gradually.
Step 4

Divide: into 5 parts, shape into balls. Press one part of dough in small amounts through cookie press.
Step 5

Put on an ungreased cookie sheet. Using any plate to make desired shapes.
Step 6

Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes.
