I originally got this recipe out off of an article dated back from 1967
posted by a Lady named : Mrs. Roger Hodson from Montpelier , Ohio.

She named them cookies but I call them cookie bars , They are delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 stick
    margarine
  • 1 1/2 c
    graham crackers, crushed
  • 1 c
    shredded coconut
  • 6 oz
    butterscotch chips
  • 6 oz
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    nuts
  • 1 can(s)
    eagle sweetened condensed milk

How to Make Hello Dolly Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter in a 9x13" baking pan.
  2. Sprinkle in layers over top of the melted butter ; graham cracker crumbs , then the butterscotch chips , then the chocolate chips , then the nuts .
  3. Pour the canned milk over top all.
  4. Bake @ 350° for 30 minutes.
  5. When partly cooled cut into squares.
