This was origianlly a recipe I developed for Fiber One cereal. I decided I did not like the taste, so I went back and redid it using granola. Much better, and less hazardous if you eat more than one!

prep time 5 Min
cook time 5 Min
method Stove Top
yield 12 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 - egg
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon light or dark corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups granola - any kind
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

How To Make granola cereal bars

  • Step 1
Beat egg, and combine with peanut butter and honey in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture starts to bubble. It only takes a couple of minutes - don't stop stirring as it sets up quickly.
  • Step 2
Remove from heat and stir in cereal and nuts; mix well.
  • Step 3
Spread and press evenly into a greased 8" pan. Press firmly and evenly with the back of a large spoon or measuring cup.
  • Step 4
Chill until firm; cut into bars. Store in refrigerator.
