This was origianlly a recipe I developed for Fiber One cereal. I decided I did not like the taste, so I went back and redid it using granola. Much better, and less hazardous if you eat more than one!

How to Make Granola Cereal Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Beat egg, and combine with peanut butter and honey in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture starts to bubble. It only takes a couple of minutes - don't stop stirring as it sets up quickly.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in cereal and nuts; mix well.
  3. Spread and press evenly into a greased 8" pan. Press firmly and evenly with the back of a large spoon or measuring cup.
  4. Chill until firm; cut into bars. Store in refrigerator.
