Granny use to make these cookies and they were always a hit. I have had the same luck with them and they are so easy to make.

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 cup crisco
1 cup pumpkin
1 - egg
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon soda
2 cups flour
1 cup raisins or cranraisins

How To Make granny's pumpkin cookies

Step 1

mix sugar,egg.Crisco.add dry ingredients drop by tbs on ungreased cookie sheet.Cool and frost.Bake @375

Step 2

Icing 4 tbs. milk 1/2 cup brown sugar 4 tbs. butter melt above in microwave,let cool & add 1 cup confectionery sugar.
