Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    sour milk (tsp of vinegar, and let set a few minutes until sour)
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    shortening
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 5 c
    flour

How to Make Grandma's White Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream together sugar, shortening and eggs. Add the flavorings. Add all of the dry ingredients.
  2. Roll out onto floured surface. Cut with your favorite cookie cutters. Place on a baking sheet (it is better to spray with pam so cookies don't stick!) Bake at 400 for 8 minutes. Decorate as wanted!
