1/2 cup sour milk (tsp of vinegar, and let set a few minutes until sour)
2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
2 - eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
5 cups flour

How To Make grandma's white cookies

Step 1

Cream together sugar, shortening and eggs. Add the flavorings. Add all of the dry ingredients.

Step 2

Roll out onto floured surface. Cut with your favorite cookie cutters. Place on a baking sheet (it is better to spray with pam so cookies don't stick!) Bake at 400 for 8 minutes. Decorate as wanted!
