My Grandma used to make these for me when I was little. These were my favorite cookies.

Ingredients

1 1/3 cups shortening
1/3 cup milk
3 - eggs
1 1/3 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg

How To Make grandma's bruce's sugar cookies

Step 1

Beat eggs until light. Add sugar, milk and vanilla.

Step 2

Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
Step 3

Cut in the shortening. Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture. Refrigerate overnight.
Step 4

Drop onto desered size onto pan. Wet the bottom a drinking glass and dip in sugar. Press the cookie dough lightly with the glass. Bake 375 for 10 minutes.
